Purpose:
To call upon a vampire—known or unknown—by opening one’s body and spirit to their desire. This ritual is often done by those longing for dark love, craving an immortal’s touch, or aching to be claimed.
Best Performed On:
- The night of a waning crescent moon
- Within the hours of 2–4 a.m.
- In total solitude, in candlelight, without mirrors
You Will Need:
- A black silk sheet
- A vial of your own blood, just a drop mixed with red wine
- Rose oil or wine (for offering)
- A red candle
- A handwritten letter of longing (smeared with a drop of your blood)
- An item of beauty: a locket, ring, or silk ribbon
- A dark sigil of invitation drawn on your chest in red wine (symbol below)

The Ritual Begins:
1. Prepare the Space:
Lay the black silk sheet on the floor or bed. Strip down—nudity is preferred as a sign of complete openness. Light the red candle and place it near your heart.
Place the letter of longing beside the candle. Anoint your lips and throat with red wine.
2. Draw the Sigil of Invitation:
Using red wine, draw the sigil on your chest, just above your heart:
“This is The invitation. The mark of velvet thirst.”
3. Speak the Summoning (slowly, softly, like a lover’s whisper):
“O Vampire of shadowed yearning,
Whose eyes see through the veils of night,
Whose lips hunger for the ache of blood,
Come to me through silence, through longing, through flesh.
I offer you my pulse, my soul, my sighs.
Drink of me in dream, in kiss, or in form.
Let your hunger find mine.
Let your touch undo my time.
I do not ask for love.
I ask for you.
If you are willing, come.
If you are cruel, come anyway.
I am already yours.“
4. Final Act—The Binding:
Cut your fingertip. Let the blood touch the letter and the silk sheet. Then blow out the candle with a kiss.
Lie down. Do not speak. Sleep. Dream. Wait.
Signs You’ve Been Heard:
- The candle relights on its own.
- A sudden coldness and the scent of roses or blood fills the room.
- You awaken with two bruises where lips or fangs might have touched your neck, inner thigh, or wrist.
- You dream of a vampire speaking your name in a language you do not know—but somehow understand.
Warnings:
- Once the vampire responds, they will return again and again unless dismissed in another ritual. They may bind themselves to your spirit.
- If your desire is false or casual, the vampire may punish you instead of love you.
- Some vampires may take more than affection—they may steal years from your life with every touch.
